To uninstall the generic driver and install the Brother Original Driver, do the following:Ī. If you're using a bu ilt-in or generic printer driver. It does not have the full capabilities of the Brother Original driver, may be missing options supported by the Brother machine, and may print slower. Please contact the application vendor for help configuring the settings.ħ. If your documents are still printing automatically on both sides, then there is likely a setting in the application that is overriding the driver's settings. The driver's default setting is now to print single-sided documents. Find the section labeled '2-sided' or 'Duplex/Booklet' and choose None from the dropdown box.Ħ. Generic Built-in Driver (Does not support all features)ĥ. Click OK to close the dialog box, and go to step 7 below. If the driver is missing these options, or looks like the screenshot below, then the Brother Original driver has not been installed. Go to step 4 for instructions on how to disable 2-sided or duplex printing.
If the driver has the Advanced tab or Support button, then the Brother Original Driver has been fully installed. Verify that the driver has an Advanced tab or Support button. Right-click on the Brother machine and left-click on Printing preferences.ģ.
